Itinerary at a glance

Our transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where you will take the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, a representative will transfer you to your hotel. You will have free time to explore the town and coordinate with the guide for the next day’s tour.

Overnight at your selected hotel in Aguas Calientes. The next day, the guide will pick you up at your hotel for the 2.5 hour guided tour of Machu Picchu. After the tour, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes.

The return will be in the afternoon or evening depending on the train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where a shuttle will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Travel from Cusco to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes)

Starting point

Pick up from your hotel at the coordinated time (if the hotel is near the main square of Cusco), otherwise we will coordinate a meeting point.

Spanish or English.

As agreed, the transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where you will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, a representative of the agency will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in the village.

You will have free time to explore Aguas Calientes at your own pace. In addition, you will be informed about the time the guide will visit you at the hotel to coordinate the details of your guided tour the following day.

Day 2 Day 2: Machu Picchu Tour

As coordinated with our guide, we will pick you up from your hotel to take the bus to Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy a fascinating guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours. During this tour, you will be able to explore the imposing citadel in detail. At the end of the tour, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes.

The return will be in the afternoon or evening, depending on the time of your return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon arrival, private transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

If you want a private service ask the operator which will have a higher cost.
If you wish to purchase tickets to Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu mountain before your arrival, please let the tour operator know three to four months in advance because they are in high demand and add the cost of the tickets already mentioned.
