BOOKING POLICIES FOR TOURIST PACKAGES – MACHU PICCHU TOUR SERVICES

Our web site displays all the information of the services we offer, when a reservation is generated, you will receive a notification automatically with a copy of the registered data through an email with the confirmation of your trip, which guarantees that the services will be provided as requested.

  • Within 48 hours one of our sales consultants will contact you via email or telephone to confirm the status of your reservation, depending on the availability of the requested service.
    Travelers are responsible for correctly providing their email and contact telephone numbers. In case the traveler does not receive the confirmation email within the established period, he/she should contact us through the MachuPicchuTourServices.com web page in the service platforms.
    Machu Picchu Tour Services also works as an intermediary between tour operators and travelers. To facilitate the process of booking tourist services we have commercial agreements with various tour operators who are responsible for providing the services booked through Machu Picchu Tour Services by the traveler.
  • The confirmation of the contracted services will be given once we have received your online reservation request and have also received the confirmation of a guarantee deposit or full payment in the established periods, and in a second case the initial deposit of 50% of the total price of the program, this deposit is not refundable if you cancel your trip, and the balance of 50% must be paid one day before the start of the booked tour.
  • The traveler will be contacted by our tour operator at the destination, who must identify himself with his passport or identity card and then pay the balance in cash or other means of payment and thus begin the provision of tourist services.
  • Machu Picchu Tour Services will provide the traveler with the details of the operator and guide in charge before the start of any contracted tourist activity, it is the responsibility of the passenger to indicate the details of their arrival and departure with due anticipation.
  • In case the traveler requests pick up from a specific place other than the one published in the itinerary, he/she must coordinate it in advance with the operator of the agency to check the existence of additional charges.
  • For the development of the tour, the passenger must be present with due anticipation at the indicated check in time at the boarding station, bus or airport, to collect his boarding card or ticket. There is no responsibility on the part of the company if the passenger loses the ticket for other reasons, such as tardiness, delays in the queues, or others.
  • Ticket reservations are personal and non-transferable, non-endorsable and non-refundable, as they are subject to the cancellation policies of the transportation companies.
  • Our tours are also subject to the weather factor, in case there is interference to perform the service because of the weather, the conditions of the service will be applied (in no case there is no refund).
  • If reservations are made less than 30 days before the start of the tour the company will coordinate and inform you if there is all the availability of train tickets and income to the archaeological centers in order to provide the best possible service and not have any setbacks.
    After the confirmation from the company to the traveler by email or other means of communication, the traveler has a period of no more than 48 hours after receiving it, to make any comments. It is understood that if the traveler has not made any observations within this period or has already started to enjoy the contracted services, the company assumes conformity on the part of the traveler.

PRICES OF SERVICES AND TOURS

  • Our rates are expressed in US dollars and nuevos soles, not including the IGV of 18% applicable for Peruvians and foreigners residing in Peru (exonerated for foreigners).
  • Our published rates are not valid for holidays, public holidays or long weekends except as specified on the website.
  • We have rates subject to discounts for groups larger than 10 people, it is recommended to consult with our sales consultants on the website [email protected].
  • Transportation rates are subject to change and availability of space to be confirmed the day the reservation is made.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

  • After booking the tour we ask for an initial deposit of 50% of the total cost of the service, guaranteeing that the services will be provided as requested, the balance of 50% must be paid 10 days before the start of the tour, or the full payment, then receiving the response with the confirmation of your trip.
  • Payments or guarantee deposits must be made through our online system, or by Paypal to the company’s bank accounts.
  • The company accepts deposits for cash payments in bank accounts in Peru and Western Union or Money Gram agents abroad, the client assumes the cost of the transaction.
  • The company will not assume any bank charges or taxes incurred for wire transfers or deposits, which must be paid in the country of origin.
  • All confirmed reservations are subject to a non-refundable charge.
  • It is the responsibility of the traveler to pay the advance payment and/or the balance of the contracted service within the deadlines established by Machu Picchu Tour Services, otherwise the company will cancel the reservation without reimbursement.
  • In case the client makes a payment by credit or debit card, Machu Picchu Tour Services, reserves the right to request a copy or photo of the card used for payment showing only the following information: first four digits, last four digits and name of the cardholder; also, the passport or ID of the cardholder to avoid fraudulent transactions.

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING AND REFUND POLICIES

  • The company is not responsible for cancellations made by the client 45 days or less before the start date of the contracted service, which will be penalized with 100% per passenger.
  • Failure to appear on the day and at the time indicated for the provision of the contracted service has a penalty of 100%.
  • If the client does not pay the total balance of the trip within the agreed time, there is no refund of 50% of the deposit paid for administrative expenses per passenger.
  • For any cancellation, by the client, between 70 and 45 days before the start date of the contracted service will be penalized with 50% of the value of the program per passenger.
  • For any cancellation, by the client, between 90 and 70 days before the start date of the contracted service, a penalty of US $ 25 will be applied for administrative expenses per passenger.
  • For any rescheduling, by the client, 45 days or less before the start date of the contracted service, the request will be accepted as long as the client has no outstanding balances to pay, and there is no fare difference for the new rescheduling date.
  • The clients accept that Machu Picchu Tour Services S.A.C. has no responsibility for the non-provision of the services offered in case of adverse weather conditions or natural disasters that cannot be foreseen. Likewise, it recognizes that there will be no responsibility in case of political movements, accidents, declaration of state of emergency, border closures, strikes or any other public act beyond the control of Machu Picchu Tour Services S.A.C. that could not be foreseen. In these cases, the value of the contracted service will not be refundable.
  • Refunds will only be effective when the client requests it more than 90 days before the start date of the contracted service or when the company is unable to provide the contracted service, in the latter case, the company will not pay more than 100% of the amount paid by the client. Refunds will be provided in a period of no less than 30 working days and no more than 120 working days, discounting transaction costs, if any.
  • In the event that the passenger does not decide to complete any of the contracted services, the difference will not be refundable.

DOCUMENTATION

  • Passengers must carry a valid passport or travel document according to their nationality, according to the legal regulations required by Peru.
  • Passengers who hire our services as foreigners not domiciled in Peru, must send a copy of immigration stamp with the date of entry to the country, which must not exceed the number of days according to current regulations for exemption from payment of IGV, otherwise you must pay the IGV on the total value of the contracted service.
  • Family groups with children must carry their passport or ID card, in case of traveling with only one of the parents or a guardian must present a notarized permit with parental authorization. In case you have made the payment and do not present this documentation, the service will not be provided and will be penalized with 100%.

RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATION

  • Machu Picchu Tour Services S.A.C. is an agency that operates its tours directly and also hires the services of other operating companies according to the type of service requested by the client, to ensure the best possible service. These service providers are independent of the company and have been previously approved, the company has no direct control over them.
  • The payment of the reservation of our tours implies acceptance of the terms and conditions detailed and covers our services and all participants in them.
  • The company will provide the passenger with all tickets and/or booking confirmations through the passenger’s e-mail address provided in the booking form.
  • The services provided through the company’s system are intangible, therefore if the passengers for any reason do not take the services on the scheduled date and time, they will be responsible for the total cost of these.
  • Situations beyond our control that cause the operation of our tours to not develop normally due to strikes, protests, political movements, in case of declaration of a state of emergency, border closures, accidents, flight cancellations, weather conditions, or any other public act beyond the control of the company, which could not be foreseen, possible solutions will be suggested to try to operate the scheduled program, however customers accept and acknowledge that the company has no responsibility for the non-provision of the services offered. Likewise, in these cases, the value of the contracted service will not be refundable.
