At the top of the trail we will visit the archaeological complex of Raqayniyoq, an ancient administrative and military center of the Inca Empire, which was previously occupied by the Killke culture. This strategic place offers a privileged view of the valley and keeps vestiges that tell us about the power and organization of these civilizations.
The tour is perfect for travelers who wish to explore less traveled routes, enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and immerse themselves in the living history of the Andes.
The tour begins with pick up from your hotel at 07:30 a.m., followed by a 2 hour drive to the village of Pachar. From there, we will begin a 1 hour and 30 minute hike to the beautiful Perolniyoc Waterfall, where we will enjoy 45 minutes to explore and take pictures.
Then, we will continue our ascent to the archaeological site of Raqayniyoq, an ancient Inca center of administrative and military function. Here we will have a 40-minute guided tour and enjoy a picnic lunch.
After the experience, we will return to Cusco, arriving approximately at 16:00 pm.
Pick up from your hotel at approximately 7:30 am (if the hotel is near the main square of Cusco, otherwise we will coordinate a meeting point).
We start this adventure by picking you up from your hotel at 07:30 a.m., to go by the paved road Cusco – Urubamba – Pachar. The trip in transport lasts approximately 2 hours, until we arrive at the town of Pachar, the starting point of our hike.
Before leaving, the guide will provide the necessary indications to begin the journey to the Perolniyoc Waterfall, a spectacular waterfall surrounded by nature and Andean landscapes. The hike lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
When we arrive at the waterfall, we will have 45 minutes to enjoy the environment, relax and take pictures of this wonderful natural place.
We will continue ascending along a trail until we reach the archaeological complex of Raqayniyoq, an ancient Inca center that once functioned as an administrative and military point, and also had Killke occupation. Here, our guide will explain its historical importance during a tour of approximately 40 minutes.
In this same place we will enjoy a picnic lunch outdoors, surrounded by a peaceful environment and unique views of the valley.
At the end of the visit, we will return to our vehicle to return to the city of Cusco, with estimated arrival around 16:00 pm.
