Day 1 – Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Cusco:
Free afternoon to acclimatize (Optional City tour if your arrival in Cusco is before 1:00 p.m.), ask the operator has additional cost.
Day 2 – Visit to Machu Picchu:
At the agreed time, transfer from the hotel to the train station to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you and accompany you by bus to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Guided tour of approximately 2 and a half hours, followed by free time to explore. Return to Aguas Calientes, train back to Ollantaytambo and final transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 3 – Excursion to the Colored Mountain:
Very early departure (04:30 a.m.) by bus to Pitumarca for breakfast. Then, transfer to Qayrawiri, starting point of the hike (2-3 hours) to Vinicunca. On the way we will appreciate Andean landscapes, streams and mountains. Free time at the top for photos and views of Ausangate. Descent and buffet lunch before returning to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Pick up from your hotel at the coordinated time (if the hotel is near the main square of Cusco), otherwise we will coordinate a meeting point.
Free afternoon to acclimatize. (Optional City tour if your arrival to Cusco is before 13.00 hras), ask the operator has additional cost.
At the previously arranged time, our transfer will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the train station. There you will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes.
Once you arrive at the station, a representative of our agency will be waiting to welcome you and assist you according to the established protocols. Then, we will head to the bus station, from where we will begin a 40-minute ascent to the majestic Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, you will be amazed by the imposing beauty of the place, the serenity and the spectacular natural environment that surrounds it. During the tour, our specialized guide will accompany you for about two and a half hours, revealing the history, mysteries and fascinating constructions of this wonder of the world.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace, take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, we will descend again to Aguas Calientes, where we will wait for the return train, whose schedule will depend on the assigned ticket (in the afternoon or evening).
The train will take you back to Ollantaytambo station, where our transfer will be waiting to take you comfortably back to your hotel in Cusco.
We will leave very early at 04:30 a.m. from Cusco in a comfortable tourist bus, in a journey of approximately 2 hours and a half to reach the district of Pitumarca. There we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, ideal to recharge your batteries before the hike.
Then we will continue by transport to Qayrawiri, the starting point of our adventure. In this place, those who wish can rent horses directly from the local people, with whom they can negotiate the service.
The hike to Vinicunca will take between 2 to 3 hours, crossing Andean landscapes of great beauty: crystal clear streams, majestic mountains, small lakes, snow-capped mountains and a rich variety of Andean flora and fauna.
Finally, we will arrive at our awaited destination: the impressive Montaña de Colores or Vinicunca, located at 5,029 m.a.s.l. We will have enough time to take pictures, rest and appreciate the imposing Ausangate, considered sacred by the ancient Incas.
After enjoying the scenery, we will descend to the restaurant, where a comforting buffet lunch awaits us. Once the experience is over, we will return to the city of Cusco, with an estimated arrival time of around 6:30 pm.
