This tour has been specially designed for nature lovers who visit Cusco and have only a few days available. Throughout this experience, you will enjoy spectacular landscapes, surrounded by exotic flora and fauna, both on the way to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu and on the route to the impressive Humantay Lagoon, located at the foot of the imposing Salkantay snow-capped mountain.

Day 1 – Arrival in Cusco
Free afternoon to acclimatize. Optional: City Tour if arrival is before 13:00 hrs (with additional cost).
Day 2 – Visit to Machu Picchu
Transfer from the hotel to the train station to board the service to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you and accompany you to the bus up to Machu Picchu. Guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours by the Inca citadel, with free time to explore and take pictures. Return to Aguas Calientes and train back to Ollantaytambo. Final transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 3 – Humantay Lagoon
Early departure (04:30 a.m.) to Mollepata, where breakfast will be served. Then, transfer to Soraypampa and start the hike (1h30 approx.) to the Humantay Lagoon at 4,250 m.a.s.l. Free time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Descent to Soraypampa, lunch in Mollepata and return to Cusco around 6:00 p.m.
Pick up from your hotel at the coordinated time (if the hotel is near the main square of Cusco), otherwise we will coordinate a meeting point.
Free afternoon to acclimatize. Optional City tour, if your arrival in Cusco is before 13.00 hras, ask your operator (has additional cost).
At the previously arranged time, our transfer will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the train station. There you will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes.
Once you arrive at the station, a representative of our agency will be waiting to welcome you and assist you according to the established protocols. Then, we will head to the bus station, from where we will begin a 40-minute ascent to the majestic Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, you will be amazed by the imposing beauty of the place, the serenity and the spectacular natural environment that surrounds it. During the tour, our specialized guide will accompany you for about two and a half hours, revealing the history, mysteries and fascinating constructions of this wonder of the world.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace, take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, we will descend again to Aguas Calientes, where we will wait for the return train, whose schedule will depend on the assigned ticket (in the afternoon or evening).
The train will take you back to Ollantaytambo station, where our transfer will be waiting to take you comfortably back to your hotel in Cusco.
We start very early at 04:30 a.m. and depart from Cusco in the direction of the picturesque town of Mollepata, a journey of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious typical Andean breakfast, ideal to recharge your batteries before starting our adventure.
After breakfast, we will continue by bus to Soraypampa, the starting point of our trek. During the journey, we will be able to admire impressive mountain scenery, gorges and the natural beauty of the Andean valley.
Upon arrival to Soraypampa, our specialized guide will give us a brief preparation talk and the necessary time to get ready: poles, backpacks, water and everything necessary for the ascent.
The hike to the Humantay Lagoon (at 4,250 meters above sea level) lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Along the way, we will enjoy unique landscapes and the pure air of the Andes. Once at the top, we will be rewarded with the view of this turquoise water lagoon, located at the foot of the imposing Salkantay snow-capped mountain. We will have free time to rest, take pictures and connect with the energy of the place.
After the visit, we will descend again to Soraypampa, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to Mollepata and enjoy a comforting lunch.
Afterwards, we will start our return trip to Cusco, with an estimated time of arrival around 6:00 pm.
